Session: LOLBeans IO is a Y8 game that was created in order to convey the feeling of controlling a skateboard in as much detail as possible. And the developers seem to have succeeded. But not everything is so smooth.

After 3 years, fans of virtual skateboards waited for a new product in such a niche genre to come out of early access. There are very few Y8 games dedicated to the art of moving on a board with wheels, especially when it comes to simulators. The vast majority of players who are not dedicated to the genre will hardly remember anything, except for the series associated with the legendary Tony Hawk.

From the first minutes of the gameplay, it becomes clear who Session: LOLBeans IO was created for. Small opportunities for customization and character customization have been added to the Y8 game, and plot dialogues bring you up to date and slightly distract from heart-wrenching falls.

Trying to ride a skateboard while in school or out of school can be a bit of a thrill. Great feeling from the movement on the board through the city streets. But then, in the near future, reasons for joy may be exhausted.

The first hours are about mastering basic techniques and trying not to fall with enviable regularity. Management is very cruel, clearly made with a bias in realism. In LOLBeans IO, you have to learn every action by relearning the gamepad and controlling each foot separately, because different sticks are responsible for them.

Fall and get up is the motto of a young skateboarder. And a check for you, at the training stage, it is not the target audience that is eliminated. And those who stay will definitely enjoy it. The developers from Crea-ture have created a Y8 game that perfectly conveys the atmosphere and culture of skateboarding . It gives a huge toolkit that allows you to perform a variety of tricks, gradually replenishing your repertoire.

And so, over time, the Y8 game really reveals itself when doing tricks becomes a reflex, and not accompanied by a laborious thought process with endless falls. The simulator turned out to be deep and extremely difficult, and someone can be scared off by the controls, not to mention the need to repeat the same actions over and over again in the hope of a new result. However, there are enough objective disadvantages.

Location - locations from the USA, where you can freely move on the board or on foot. In general, the environment looks nice and even beautiful in places, but still gravitates towards zero in terms of technology. Full static open world spoils the situation very much. Cars do not drive (but they stand on the roads), and random passers-by, which can be turned on in the settings, simply trample the asphalt randomly. And they look bad.

Trick animations are fine, but others are not so good. For example, you can't see a character getting on and off the board. And when falling, our hero behaves like a rag doll, it looks very unpresentable. In collisions with pedestrians, they fly off like dummies hit by a truck .

Enough bugs too. At least I was not able to complete the tutorial, because the game simply did not allow me to continue moving on the skateboard. I had to skip it, but strange moments continued already in the main part of the Y8 game.

Friv5Online Studios has managed to create a simulator that has attracted a significant number of skateboarding fans in three years in early access, spending hundreds of hours in the game. Performing tricks "almost like in life", detailed settings for everything and everything, customization and a simple plot captivate. However, the Y8 game is not so easy to recommend even to fans.

Session: LOLBeans IO at the current stage seems too unpolished and clearly "raw" in places. Considering that we are no longer in early access, but a full-fledged release, it is worth considering. There are enough problems, and the developers still have a lot of work to do.
