Millennials pick Amazon over sex: survey

According to New York Post, a new survey revealed 77 percent of millennials would go without booze for a year rather than quit Amazon, and 44 percent would forego sex.

The survey, conducted by Max Borges Agency, also uncovered the bizarre places where millennials used the online retailer. Forty-seven percent shopped while using the bathroom, 24 percent while grocery shopping, 23 percent while sitting in traffic and 19 percent shopped while intoxicated. Sixty-one percent of millennials surveyed said they shopped in the middle of the night.

The agency polled 1,108 people from the ages of 18 to 34 in the US, who purchased consumer tech products on Amazon in the past year.

Millennials prioritising Amazon over sex and alcohol is just one sign of the e-commerce giant’s dominance, writes Business Insider.

Amazon was named America’s most loved brand for the second year in a row in Morning Consult’s annual report. And, earlier in December, the company briefly became the world’s most valuable public company, reaching a market capitalisation of $865 billion – ahead of Apple’s $864.8 billion valuation.
