Amazon entices brands to drive more traffic to their listings with Brand Referral Bonus program
Amazon has launched a Brand Referral Bonus program to reward brands for driving sales on its marketplace. It gives participating brands an average 10% credit on sales resulting from their off-Amazon marketing efforts.
The initiative will see participants earn credit to be redeemed against referral fees, currently hovering at around 15%.
Brands earn the bonus – in the form of a credit on their referral fees – on purchases that occur within 14 days of a customer clicking on an ad, reports ecommercebytes.com.
Specific bonuses vary dependent on the product category, with a maximum of 30% on offer for Amazon device accessories (which carry a referral fee of 45.9%), dropping to 5% for consumer electronics (which have a referral fee of 7.14%), writes The Drum.
The Brand Referral Bonus is available to brands that sell in Amazon’s US store and are enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. The bonus is only applicable to sales on a brands’ own products.
