Amazon is limiting shipments to certain types of products
Amazon is suspending all shipments other than medical supplies, household staples and other high-demand products amid coronavirus crisis.
Amazon is prioritizing goods in baby, health and household, beauty and personal care, grocery, industrial and scientific and pet supplies categories. The company stated that on its website.
Other orders won’t be processed until April, 5, but it sounds like Amazon could extend these limitations depending on how the pandemic progresses.
Also, the US government has suspended the entry of foreign nationals from China and Europe for 30 days, in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
This will cause air delivery delays to Amazon warehouses.
On the other hand, 90% of the factories in China have already resumed production. Many of them are working seven days a week in order to make up for the delays due to the epidemic.
This may also result in delays of sea shipments, as the Chinese ports will be heavily congested in the near term.
Accordingly, we suggest to plan your shipments to Amazon in advance, given the current situation.
