Things to Avoid When Getting Amazon Reviews
To avoid getting reviews blocked or removed by Amazon, you should not do the things below at all costs.
- Get fewer reviews from people who have used a big discount code
Because you can’t offer compensation for a review, asking people to review your product bought at a big discount may seem sketchy. As a golden rule, you should never ask for a review from products discounted over 30%.
- Do not get reviews for a return review
Remember that you can’t review your competitor’s products? Even if they sell something else, any seller on Amazon is your competitor. Since everything is traceable, never agree to get a review for a return review if you don’t want to have your account banned.
- Do not encourage reviews immediately after the purchase
We know you want to get those reviews and grow your business as quickly as possible. However, you shouldn’t hurry up things. Most buyers take their time to try the product before leaving a review, so getting it the next day after delivery could be suspicious.
- Avoid getting too many reviews
Another thing you might know is that getting organic reviews is laborious. Shoppers are often too busy to think about reviewing your product, even if they like it. That’s why you should avoid getting too many reviews compared to the number of products you sold. You should aim to get no more than 10% reviews.
- Never asking for incentivized reviews
This is a clear breach in the Amazon rules that will get your account suspended instantly. Just don’t do it.
