Product quality control inspection in China

In general, there are 5 types of quality control inspections:

  1. Factory audit.
  2. Pre-Production inspection.
  3. Mid-production inspection.
  4. Pre-shipment inspection.
  5. Container Loading inspection.

Factory audit

Factory audit is an independent inspection of the facility, performed to determine the degree of reliability and trustworthiness of the manufacturer. It includes the inspection of production capacities, techniques, methods and the analysis of the manufacturing process.

Pre-Production inspection

Pre-production inspection is conducted to assess the quality of raw materials and components, used in the manufacturing process.

Mid-production inspection

Mid-production inspection is performed when 10-50% of the goods are manufactured. In this case randomly taken items are checked for conformity with claimed characteristics and client’s expectations. This service allows to detect and address possible problems with the goods at an early stage of production.

Pre-shipment inspection

Pre-shipment inspection is performed at the supplier’s factory when 100% of the goods are manufactured. The main idea of this service is to identify conformity/non-conformity between the actual quality of the produced goods and stated requirements or customer’s expectations, based on the random check of the products from the batch.

Container Loading inspection

is carried out when the goods are packed and ready for transportation, in order to check the presence of all the necessary labels, barcodes, as well as the dimensions, weight and quality of the cartons.
