Qr-code as an instrument to promote Private Label product sales

Repeat purchase rate is of utmost importance in e-commerce. Startup Batch comes with a simple yet effective solution: using QR-code on a product to promote sales.

Batch has raised $5 million in seed funding and is already working with numerous products and brands on Shopify, promising their customers “one-tap checkout” when it’s time to re-order an item as long as the retailer has slapped one of Batch’s codes on their items or incorporated the codes directly into their packaging.

So, basically, when you are running out of shampoo or coffee – you simply scan the QR-code on the product and repeat the purchase with just a few clicks.

For the moment, Batch is wholly reliant on Apple’s App Clip technology, but will eventually work on both iOS and Android phones, reports Techcrunch.

At the moment, the platform will work with any Shopify service provider with plans to expand on other e-commerce platforms.

The trend

66% of global online shoppers say their mobile device is quickly becoming their most important tool both for product research and shopping. So, the more you facilitate the process, the more customers you can get as a result.
